We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Coder/Biller/Account Administrator to join our team. While prior billing is not a requirement, we will prioritize and prefer candidates who have had prior medical billing experience. Pay rate will also be reflective of this.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring accurate record-keeping of billing claims, and serving as the primary point of contact for patients with billing and account questions/concerns. Compensation is DOE or raises will be given according to how quickly one learns and starts contributing to the role with autonomy.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain patient accounts, including billing, collections, and payment posting
Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and on time.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims or balances.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, payment plans, and insurance coverage. Educate them on how insurance billing works and resolve all accounting issues.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient financial records in compliance with HIPAA.
Collaborate with front office staff, providers, and insurance companies to resolve account or billing issues.
Generate reports related to billing and collections as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure patients' accounts are in good standing, follow up for payment as necessary.
Requirements:
Experience in account management or administrative support roles not necessary, willing to train the right candidate if there is eagerness to learn.
Proven strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) & Google Sheets, Gmail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
