Virtual Paralegal – Debt Defense (Immediate Hire)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Paralegal with extensive debt defense experience to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the urgency of legal matters, and is confident handling sensitive financial and legal situations with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents including answers, motions, affidavits, and discovery related to debt defense cases
Assist with filing court documents in various jurisdictions (e-filing and physical filing as required)
Manage and respond to debt collection notices and correspondence
Conduct legal research related to consumer debt, collections, and civil procedures
Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met
Communicate effectively with clients while maintaining empathy and confidentiality
Track case progress and support attorneys with ongoing litigation needs
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a paralegal with a strong focus on debt defense / consumer law
Proficiency in drafting court-ready legal documents independently
Hands-on experience with court filing systems (state and/or federal)
Strong understanding of debt collection laws and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
Reliable internet connection and secure work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training
Experience working remotely in a legal setting
Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, and related consumer protection laws
