ABOUT US

UK direct-to-consumer supplements brand. 35+ natural products (collagen, biotin, menopause support, creatine, probiotics). Sold on Shopify and Amazon UK. Over 350,000 customers. Small remote-first team. Real established company, real revenue. We will share the brand name with shortlisted candidates.

THE ROLE

You will edit high-converting video ads for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok. This is a direct response editing role. Every video you produce needs to stop the scroll, hold attention, and drive a click. We care about performance (CTR, hook rate, hold rate, CPA), not cinematic polish.

You will work from creative briefs and raw UGC footage, turning them into ads that sell. You will also use AI tools daily to generate b-roll, voiceovers, visuals, and video content to speed up production and create net-new content.

This is not a brand content or social media video role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Edit short-form video ads (15 seconds to 2 minutes) for Meta and TikTok from UGC footage, product clips, screen recordings, and stock/AI-generated content.
- Create multiple ad variations from a single concept, testing different hooks, CTAs, pacing, and visual styles. When something works, iterate fast.
- Edit across formats: UGC compilations, problem-solution, testimonial, listicle, myth-busting, before/after, VSL-style, and educational/storytelling.
- Add captions, text overlays, motion graphics, and visual elements that reinforce the hook and keep viewers watching.
- Source and create b-roll using AI video and image tools (Veo3, Kling, Pika, Midjourney). Generate AI voiceovers (ElevenLabs, HeyGen) where needed. This is daily work, not optional.
- Deliver in multiple aspect ratios (1:1, 4:5, 9:16) ready for the media buying team.
- Work from creative briefs provided by our creative strategist. Join weekly alignment calls to review performance and plan the next round of creative.
- Research high-performing ads in our space and bring ideas for new formats, styles, or hooks to test.

REQUIREMENTS (MUST-HAVE)

- 2+ years editing direct response or performance ads for a DTC/e-commerce brand or agency (not brand content, music videos, or YouTube vlogs)
- Strong proficiency in CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Portfolio of ads that have actually run on Meta or TikTok
- Understanding of direct response editing: hooks in the first 1-3 seconds, pacing for retention, scroll-stopping openings, and clear CTAs
- Daily active use of AI tools for video/image generation and voiceover (Veo, Runway, Kling, Pika, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Midjourney, or similar). You must already be using these in your workflow.
- Fast turnaround and comfortable with high-volume output. We test a lot of creative.
- Can read basic ad metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA) and use that data to improve the next edit
- Reliable internet and quiet workspace

NICE-TO-HAVE

- After Effects or motion graphics skills
- Health, beauty, wellness, or supplements industry experience
- Experience with long-form VSLs (3-5+ minutes)
- Thumbnail or static image creation skills

HOW TO APPLY

Start your application with the exact words: "I have read the full post - here is my application for the Video Editor role."

Then answer these (please number them 1-5):

1. Why are you a good fit for this specific role? (3-5 sentences, no generic cover letters.)
2. Your relevant experience editing direct response ads. Which brands or agencies? What platforms did the ads run on? How many ads were you producing per week?
3. Which AI tools do you use in your editing workflow? Be specific: which tools, how often, and for what exactly.
4. Share a link to 3-5 direct response video ads you have edited (Google Drive, portfolio, or unlisted links). Tell us which platform they ran on. Performance data is a bonus.
5. What is your typical turnaround for a 30-60 second ad edit, and how many ads can you realistically produce per week?

Also include your expected monthly salary (USD) and availability to start.

Applications without the confirmation phrase or that are clearly generic will not be reviewed. We read every application that follows the instructions.
