The Lucy Rose Clinic is an established Australian telehealth clinic specialising in women’s hormonal and thyroid health. We operate nationally and are currently strengthening our financial operations to support growth, stability, and improved cash flow visibility.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Finance Manager with strong Xero and Australian accounting experience to take ownership of our financial operations.
This is a hands-on role responsible for both bookkeeping and financial oversight. You will replace the current bookkeeping function and take full ownership of finance operations over time.
The role will begin with an intensive onboarding period focused on reviewing, cleaning up, and stabilising financial systems. Ongoing hours and structure will be determined based on efficiency and business needs.
This is not a training role — we require someone who can step in, assess quickly, and take control.
Key Responsibilities
Xero Management & Clean-Up
Review, clean, and reconcile all accounts in Xero
Identify and fix errors, inconsistencies, and gaps
Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
BAS / IAS / GST Preparation
Prepare BAS and IAS for accountant review and lodgement
Ensure correct GST coding and compliance
Maintain ATO-ready financial records
Payroll & Super
Manage payroll processing and reconciliation
Ensure correct superannuation calculations and tracking
Support STP processes
Financial Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly reports:
Profit & Loss
Cash Flow
Balance Sheet
Provide clear summaries and insights to support decision-making
Cash Flow & Financial Oversight
Monitor cash position and upcoming liabilities
Flag risks early and provide practical recommendations
Bookkeeping Ownership
Take over and manage the ongoing bookkeeping function
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
Systems & Process Improvement
Implement structured month-end processes
Improve financial systems and workflows
Work closely with external accountant
Key Requirements (Essential)
Strong, hands-on experience using Xero (daily use)
Proven experience working with Australian clients
Experience preparing BAS / IAS (even if not lodging)
Strong understanding of GST and Australian compliance
Experience managing payroll and superannuation
Ability to work independently and take ownership
High attention to detail and accuracy
Clear, confident English communication
Reliability & Ownership
Demonstrated reliability in a full-time remote role
Consistently available and responsive during Australian business hours
Takes ownership of tasks and follows through without reminders
Highly Regarded
Experience cleaning up disorganised or messy books
Experience in service-based or healthcare businesses
Experience working directly with business owners

Xero fully reconciled and accurate
BAS/IAS prepared correctly and on time
Weekly financial reporting delivered consistently

What Success Looks Like
Within 2 weeks: clear understanding of financial position
Within 4–6 weeks: books are clean, structured, and reliable
Ongoing: finance function runs smoothly with minimal oversight
