JOB OVERVIEW

About the Channel:
We run a finance and economic history YouTube channel producing long-form documentary videos (90 minutes). The style is serious and cinematic — think PBS Frontline meets Ken Burns. We publish 3 videos per week.

What You'll Be Editing:
Each video uses three visual types that you will source and assemble:
AI-generated oil painting illustrations (generated via ai tools),
Archival and public domain footage/photos (Library of Congress, National Archives, Smithsonian),
Stock footage from Storyblocks (we provide access),

Each video also includes a 30–45 second on-camera host intro that gets added to the main content.

What We're Looking For:
Experience editing long-form YouTube videos (45+ minutes) — portfolio required,
Ability to source and mix multiple visual types (AI illustrations, archival footage, stock),
Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve,
Reliable communicator — must respond to messages within 24 hours,
Able to deliver 3 videos per week

Requirements — Please answer ALL of these in your application:

Share a link to your portfolio including at least one video 45 minutes or longer that you edited
What tools do you use for sourcing stock footage and archival images?
What is your typical turnaround time for a 90-minute video?

To ensure you read this entire post, please share your favorite movie at the top of your reply.

Rate: $40 USD per video
Payment: Weekly via Wise

Do not apply if: You cannot share a portfolio, you have not edited long-form documentary-style content before, or you cannot commit to weekly delivery deadlines.
