UI/UX Product Designer to Modernize SaaS Desktop Application (GeoForgeX)

We are looking for an experienced SaaS Product Designer to help modernize the interface and user experience of our desktop software application, GeoForgeX.

GeoForgeX is an AI-powered toolset for land surveyors that automates the process of converting legal descriptions (deeds) into CAD-ready geometry. Our goal is to dramatically improve efficiency in the surveying industry by reducing hours of manual drafting work into seconds.

We are seeking a designer who specializes in modern SaaS interfaces and productivity tools to help refine and improve the usability, workflow, and visual design of our Windows-based application.


Responsibilities
Evaluate the current GeoForgeX application UI/UX
Redesign key areas of the interface for improved usability and clarity
Create modern SaaS-style layouts for dashboards, tools, and workflows
Improve navigation, workflow efficiency, and user interactions
Develop consistent UI components and design systems
Produce Figma prototypes and design assets for our developers to implement
Work collaboratively with our development team to bring designs into production


Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has experience designing complex software tools, not just marketing websites.

Experience with the following is strongly preferred:
SaaS product design
Desktop application UX
Workflow-based software interfaces
Data-heavy dashboards
Productivity tools
Design systems and UI consistency

Bonus experience:
Engineering software
CAD or GIS software
AI-powered tools
Technical or professional industry applications
Deliverables
UI/UX improvements for existing application screens
New layout designs for key product workflows
Design system for consistent interface components

Figma prototypes for developer implementation

Project Scope:
Initial project will focus on improving and modernizing the current GeoForgeX interface, with the possibility of continued work as we release additional features and tools.

We are building a long-term platform and would prefer someone interested in ongoing collaboration as the product evolves.
