# FREELANCE LOGO DESIGNER (PER PROJECT)

Empathysites designs websites for therapists across the United States. Occasionally, our clients request logo design as part of their website project.

We are looking for a reliable freelance logo designer to help us create clean, thoughtful logos based on client inspiration materials.

This is a per-project role, not full-time. Most months we expect one logo project, though this may vary.


# HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

When a logo project comes in, we will provide:

- A client questionnaire
- Logos that the client likes
- Brand notes
- Images that will be used on their website

Your role is to interpret these materials and translate them into a color palate and logo direction.


# RESPONSIBILITIES


## REVIEW CLIENT MATERIALS

Review the questionnaire and inspiration images to understand the brand style.


## CREATE THREE ROUGH LOGO DIRECTIONS

Create three rough concept directions.

These are internal concepts only and will not be shown directly to the client.

Each concept should represent a distinct stylistic approach. For example:

- Elegant serif typography
- Modern minimalist sans serif
- Script or handwritten style
- Monogram or icon concept

These do not need to be fully polished logos, just strong design directions.


## INTERNAL REVIEW

Kat will review the three directions and select one concept to move forward with.


## DEVELOP THE SELECTED CONCEPT

Refine the selected direction into a polished logo and prepare a logo presentation card using our template.

The presentation will include:

- The logo design
- A color palette (4 colors according to our system)
- Images you place on the card from what the client already provided


## MINOR TWEAKS

The client may request small refinements to the chosen concept.

Examples include:

- Spacing adjustments
- Font weight changes
- Small color tweaks
- Alignment adjustments

These tweaks should typically take around 10 minutes or less.


## FINAL LOGO EXPORT

Once approved, export the final logo package.

Required variations:

- Primary logo
- Horizontal logo
- Stacked logo
- Icon or mark
- Wordmark
- Black version
- White version

Required file formats:

- SVG
- EPS
- PNG (transparent background)
- JPG


# WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a designer who:

- Has strong typography skills
- Can create elegant, minimalist logos
- Has good visual judgment and taste
- Can translate inspiration into a cohesive brand direction
- Works efficiently and communicates clearly

Experience designing modern, clean logos is strongly preferred.


# PROJECT DETAILS

This is a per-project freelance role.

Typical expectations:

- Approximately one project per month
- Projects usually take about 3 to 5 hours of work
