JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized, detail? oriented Virtual Assistant (VA) to provide administrative support and take ownership of our social media presence. This is a contractor engagement, not an employment role. The successful contractor will operate as an independent service provider, managing their tools, and work methods while delivering agreed upon outcomes.

We prefer contractors with experience supporting international clients and who are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Scope of Work

Social Media Management & Content Creation

• Independently manage and operate assigned social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

• Create original social media content, including captions, basic graphics, and short? form posts

• Plan, draft, and schedule posts aligned with brand voice and objectives

• Monitor engagement and provide simple performance summaries

• Take ownership of content quality, consistency, and timely delivery



Administrative & Operational Support

• Complete defined administrative tasks such as inbox support, answering office calls, communications, data entry, document preparation, and basic research,

• Assist with day to day operational tasks based on clearly defined deliverables

• Proactively identify improvements and efficiencies within assigned work

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar freelance role

• Strong written and verbal English skills with a clear or neutral accent

• Proven ability to work independently and deliver quality results with minimal supervision

• Reliable internet connection and backup power

• Ability to take calls or respond during agreed? upon availability windows



Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing social media accounts for businesses

• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and office software

• Strong time? management and organizational skills

• Experience working with international clients



Independent Contractor Requirements

• Operate as a freelancer or independent business

• Use own equipment, software, and work environment

• Control where work is completed

• Responsible for own taxes and statutory obligations

Engagement & Compensation

• Contract for services with defined scope and deliverables

• Initial engagement with renewal option

• Starting rate: $5 CAD per hour (alternative pricing may be discussed)

• Starting half time, should be available 9 AM to 12 PM PST, with possibility to convert to longer working hours or full time.
