Dirty Copy is a NZ-based copywriting education brand run by me, Marisa — and I have a podcast called Dirty Chats where I cover celebrity culture through a marketing lens. For example, what Taylor Swift's LOASG album release campaign teaches us about marketing.
I record every week, but what I don't have is time to edit, upload, optimise, and repurpose — which is where I need help.
What you'll actually be doing:
Editing raw podcast recordings into polished YouTube episodes (full length)
Cutting 3–5 Shorts/Reels per episode with strong hooks
Creating graphic images and video as overlays on reels to create engaging celebrity/ marketing podcast reels
Writing YouTube titles, descriptions, and tags that are built to rank
Uploading and scheduling content across YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok
Designing or templating thumbnails (Canva is fine)
Managing basic Youtube channel health — playlists, descriptions, optimisation
You're the right person if:
You've grown a YouTube channel before (yours or a client's) — show me the receipts
You understand what makes a Short or reel actually get watched past the first 3 seconds
You're proactive — you flag opportunities, don't just wait for instructions
You can match a brand's energy (Dirty Copy is bold, personality-driven, a little irreverent)
You love celebrity culture
You're comfortable working independently with clear briefs
Nice to have
Experience with podcast content specifically
Familiarity with YouTube SEO and the current algorithm
An eye for on-brand thumbnails without needing a designer
If you have general VA experience too, that'd be a bonus.
