JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Media Buyer / Paid Ads Specialist to help grow our cannabis brand through smart, compliant, and high-performing paid advertising strategies.

We need someone who can do the full picture, not just launch ads. This role is for someone who can strategize, build, manage, optimize, and scale campaigns while navigating the unique challenges of advertising in the cannabis space.

You should understand how to work around platform restrictions, test creative angles, improve performance over time, and turn ad spend into real business results.

What You’ll Do:

Build and manage paid ad campaigns from start to finish

Develop ad strategies tailored to the cannabis/hemp industry

Optimize campaigns daily or weekly based on performance

Test audiences, creatives, copy, landing pages, and funnels

Monitor KPIs such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates

Identify winning campaigns and scale them responsibly

Troubleshoot underperforming ads and recommend improvements

Stay updated on ad platform policies, restrictions, and compliance considerations

Work closely with our team on creative direction, offers, and marketing strategy

Provide reports, insights, and recommendations for growth

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience running paid ads in the cannabis, hemp, CBD, or similarly restricted industries

Strong understanding of Meta, Google, native ads, alternative traffic sources, or compliant ad channels

Experience with campaign strategy, optimization, and scaling

Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions

Familiarity with conversion tracking, pixels, attribution, and reporting

Ability to adapt quickly in a highly regulated and fast-changing space

Clear communicator who can explain strategy and results in a simple way

Self-starter who can take ownership and bring ideas to the table

Nice to Have:

Experience working with e-commerce brands

Experience with compliant funnels, advertorials, landing pages, or warm-up pages

Knowledge of cannabis consumer behavior and market trends

Creative testing experience and ability to guide ad angles/hooks
