ABOUT THIS ROLE
We run a high-production mortgage team in the United States. Instead of buying dozens of SaaS tools, we are building our own AI-powered automation stack.
If you enjoy building practical automation tools quickly, this role will be a good fit.
If you prefer designing complex systems that take months before shipping, this role probably isn’t for you.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
Active and upcoming projects include:
Automated home equity report system (replacing Homebot)
Loan comparison and mortgage report generators
AI-powered marketing and content creation tools
CRM integration and lead routing automation
SMS and email follow-up automation sequences
Agent-facing AI tools that create referral leverage
You will own projects end-to-end: scoping, building, testing, deploying. Each tool you ship creates measurable value for the business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS — NON-NEGOTIABLE
You must have proven experience with ALL of the following to be considered:

Python — you write production scripts, not tutorial code
API integrations — you have connected real systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication flows
OpenAI API or equivalent LLM integration — you have shipped something that uses an LLM in production
Google Sheets API or Google Workspace automation — you have built automations that read/write to Sheets programmatically
Git / GitHub — you use version control on every project

Do Not Apply If:
• You have not built and deployed at least one automation tool that ran in production• You have no experience with the OpenAI API or any LLM integration• You cannot show a GitHub profile with real projects• You primarily use no-code tools and have limited actual coding ability• You need detailed step-by-step instructions to complete tasks• Your English communication is not strong enough for written technical discussions

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Not required, but candidates with these move to the front:
Zapier, Make, or n8n (workflow orchestration)
Twilio / SMS automation

Email delivery systems (SendGrid, Mailgun)
React or lightweight frontend for internal tools
Database experience (PostgreSQL, Supabase, Airtable)
Cloud deployment (Railway, Render, AWS Lambda)
Mortgage or financial services industry experience

Independence Required
This role requires independent problem solving. You should be comfortable reading API documentation, researching solutions, and building without detailed step-by-step instructions. We provide the what and the why. You figure out the how.

Growth Path
This role starts part-time. High performers move to full-time and lead the AI automation team as we scale. Future structure includes a VA automation operator and junior developer reporting to this role.
