We are a growing education company that creates children’s books, learning workbooks, and curriculum materials for families, educators, and childcare programs. Our materials are used in early learning environments and homeschool programs across the United States. We are expanding our digital publishing and looking for a detail-oriented assistant to help publish books on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).

Job Overview

We are seeking a KDP Publishing Virtual Assistant to assist with formatting and uploading books to Amazon. The ideal candidate understands KDP publishing requirements, including cover sizing, bleed, spine calculations, and PDF formatting.

This role will help ensure our books are properly prepared and successfully published without upload errors.

Key Responsibilities

• Upload paperback and Kindle books to Amazon KDP
• Fix cover sizing and formatting issues
• Adjust spine width using KDP cover calculator
• Ensure proper bleed settings for book covers
• Prepare interior files for KDP publishing
• Export correct print-ready PDF files
• Upload book descriptions, keywords, and categories
• Review files to ensure they meet Amazon publishing standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve KDP publishing errors

Required Skills

• Experience using Amazon KDP publishing platform
• Understanding of book cover requirements (bleed, trim size, spine width)
• Experience designing or editing files in Canva or similar design tools
• Ability to format print-ready PDF files
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow publishing guidelines

Preferred Experience

• Experience publishing children’s books or workbooks
• Familiarity with workbook or curriculum formatting
• Knowledge of Amazon keyword optimization and categories
• Experience managing multiple book uploads

Flexible remote position.

Part-time with potential to grow into a long-term role as our publishing catalog expands.
