JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Caregiver Recruiter
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET (daylight saving changes applies). Open to 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET depending on candidate availability.

Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals to support a growing home care agency serving seniors and adults requiring in?home assistance. This role requires a strong understanding of non?medical home care roles such as HHA, CNA, PCA, and companion caregivers, compliance and credentialing requirements, and the ability to maintain productive relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders. The recruiter ensures a steady pipeline of caregivers to support new client cases while maintaining high hiring standards and an excellent candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Candidate Management

• Source, identify, and attract qualified caregivers (HHA, CNA, PCA, companions) using job boards, social media, community groups, referrals, and internal databases.

• Conduct structured phone and video interviews to evaluate experience, reliability, communication skills, transportation, and alignment with client needs.

• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and ensure smooth communication throughout the hiring process.

• Send offer letters, collect required hiring documentation, and coordinate compliance items including CORI background checks, licenses/certifications, references, and work authorization.

• Assist in onboarding and training activities for new hires.

• Maintain a positive and engaging candidate experience at all times.

• Maintain an active pipeline of caregivers ready for placement to support urgent client starts.

• Verify caregiver eligibility requirements such as driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation when applicable.

• Track applicants and recruiting metrics in systems such as Apploi and internal tracking tools.

• Proactively re?engage past candidates and inactive caregivers to fill open shifts.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Answer calls and inquiries in a professional and upbeat manner.

• Serve as a liaison between caregivers, candidates, internal teams, and the Office Manager.

• Provide timely updates to stakeholders and ensure clarity in all communications. Respond promptly and courteously to clients, caregivers, and prospective candidates.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Assist with caregiver scheduling coordination and availability tracking to support open client shifts.

• Assist with timesheet verification, shift confirmation, and documentation accuracy in WellSky when needed.

• Maintain accurate and compliant personnel records in internal systems.

• Support recruiting marketing efforts including job postings, outreach campaigns, and referral programs.

Decision-Making & Problem-Solving

• Demonstrate sound judgment in a fast?paced environment.
• Resolve issues involving caregivers, candidates, and scheduling conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Maintain strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously.


Skills & Qualifications

Required

• 2–3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience preferred (Candidates with less recruiting experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong familiarity with the home care industry and systems such as WellSky and Apploi

• At least 1 year of experience in home care or healthcare recruiting caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, or other healthcare workers

• Experience recruiting for the U.S. workforce – required

• Experience with high-volume recruiting and managing multiple open positions simultaneously. Comfortable conducting 15–20 candidate screenings per week in a high-volume recruiting environment

• Strong sourcing and screening capabilities using job boards, databases, and proactive outreach

• Excellent interviewing and candidate evaluation skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgent hiring needs

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (phone, text, and email)

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Experience verifying caregiver documentation such as certifications, background checks, driver’s license, and insurance

• Fluent English

Preferred

• Experience with WellSky, Apploi, or similar healthcare recruiting systems
