Huff Performance is a rapidly growing online coaching company specializing in shoulder pain, biomechanics, and strength training for active adults and lifters.
Our content focuses on educational biomechanics, training principles, and shoulder health. We publish high volumes of short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with the goal of becoming the leading authority in shoulder training and injury prevention.
We are looking for a Video Editor / Content VA who can help manage and scale our content output through efficient editing, organization, and publishing.
This is an execution-focused role, not a strategy role. You will be responsible for editing, organizing, and publishing content based on direction provided.
The Role
This role is for a high-output Video Editor / Content VA responsible for editing and preparing daily content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The candidate must be able to handle a high volume of raw footage, maintain clean organization, and deliver edits within 24–48 hours.
A key part of the role will also be repurposing long-form YouTube videos into multiple short-form clips.
This is a long-term role with a growing company, and compensation will increase as content production expands.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing
Edit and prepare content for:
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts
Editing responsibilities include:
• captions and on-screen text
• pacing and pattern interrupts
• zooms and punch-ins
• syncing voiceovers
• adding B-roll where appropriate
• clean educational formatting
Long Form Editing
Edit one YouTube video per week (typically 8–20 minutes).
Responsibilities include:
• cutting raw footage
• adding captions and visual emphasis
• improving pacing and clarity
• preparing export-ready YouTube videos
Content Repurposing
Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form clips.
Example:
1 long YouTube video ? 5–10 short videos.
File Organization
Maintain organized content systems including:
• raw footage folders
• edited content folders
• naming conventions
• export versions
Content Calendar Execution
Follow the provided content schedule and prepare content for publishing across platforms.
This role is focused on execution, not content strategy.
Responsibilities include:
• editing
• preparing exports
• organizing files
• maintaining the publishing workflow
Analytics Reporting
Provide a weekly performance summary for:
• Instagram
• TikTok
• YouTube
Including insights on:
• retention
• pacing
• hooks
• formatting improvements
Brand Accuracy & Consistency
Our content focuses on biomechanics and strength training.
Editors must maintain consistency in:
• educational tone
• biomechanics accuracy
• caption formatting
• voiceover pacing
Volume & Turnaround Expectations
The candidate must be able to:
• handle a high volume of raw footage
• organize files efficiently
• follow naming conventions
• deliver edited videos within 24–48 hours
Our goal is to produce:
• 3–5 short-form videos per day
• 1 long-form YouTube video per week
Qualifications
• Experience editing short-form and long-form video for social media
• Skilled in captions, pacing edits, hooks, and on-screen text
• Ability to manage large amounts of raw footage
• Strong file organization and naming habits
• Ability to deliver edits within 24–48 hours
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube formatting requirements
• Ability to repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form pieces

Compensation
Starting compensation for this role is up to $800 per month depending on experience.
This position is designed to grow as the company’s content production expands.
As content output increases and responsibilities grow, compensation will increase accordingly.
