We're building a YouTube channel that explains how machines, vehicles, and industrial systems really work — from jet engines to tower cranes to garbage trucks.
We need an editor who knows how to:
- Research and source stock footage of machines, vehicles, and industrial systems independently
- Cut and combine footage into a clean, flowing narrative
- Add motion graphics: arrows, labels, and technical diagrams directly onto footage
- Create cutaway / X-ray overlay effects that show what's happening inside a machine
- Build smooth, retention-optimized pacing (no dead
- Add immersive sound design for machines and mechanical systems
- Make complex systems feel visually simple and satisfying
You will receive:
- A finished script
- A voiceover file
- The topic & visual direction
Everything else — finding the right footage, building the visuals, assembling the video — is your responsibility.
?? Workload: Minimum 1 video per week. Consistent delivery is required.
The goal is simple: The video should NOT feel like raw clips slapped together.
We're aiming for documentary-quality explainer content — clean, professional, and visually satisfying. Think Discovery Channel meets modern YouTube packaging.
???? Budget: $50–70 per video (8–12 min). Long-term collaboration possible.
If you:
? Have experience editing factual / educational / explainer content
? Know how to source stock footage independently
? Can add motion graphics and cutaway diagrams
? Can deliver minimum 1 video per week reliably
? Can show past work in a similar style

Serious editors only — quality and attention to mechanical detail matters more than speed.
