Senior Shopify & WordPress Developer – Full Time

We’re looking for a senior developer with strong experience in both Shopify and WordPress custom builds to join our team full-time.

This role requires someone who can build serious ecommerce and custom websites, not someone who installs themes or works with page builders.

BFJ Digital is a Brisbane-based digital marketing and transformation agency with strong technical capability across Shopify, WordPress, and modern marketing technology stacks.

The role is full time, with a requirement of you working for no other employers. We’re looking for a senior dev with at least 5 years Shopify experience.

Please provide a portfolio of your work. Our existing team is 5 developers, so you’ll be joining a very skilled performative team. Realisable internet, and power supplies is important. Most of our devs are in manila.



The Role

You will be responsible for building and maintaining custom Shopify stores and custom WordPress websites for our clients.

You’ll work closely with our internal team including:
• Designers
• Project managers
• Developers working across integrations and platforms

The focus is on clean builds, performance, and scalable architecture.



Mandatory Experience

If you do not meet these requirements, this role is not suitable.
• Strong Shopify development experience
• Custom Shopify builds
• Strong WordPress development experience
• Custom WordPress builds using ACF
• Ability to build without page builders

We do not hire page-builder developers.



Technical Skills

You should be comfortable with:
• Shopify Liquid
• Shopify APIs and integrations
• Custom Shopify theme development
• WordPress custom themes
• ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
• Git workflows
• Performance optimisation

Bonus if you also understand:
• Headless architectures
• CRM / marketing integrations
