Direct Message Virtual Assistant (DM VA) (Remote, Base+Commission)

Instagram DMs Only - No Calls Required

Niche: Rock climbing virtual rehab and coaching. We help rock climbers overcome tweaks and pains, climb fun, and climb strong. We’re looking for a personable, organized communicator who loves talking to people and can guide climbers through our DM process to help them book a free Discovery Call.

Role Overview: This position focuses entirely on Instagram DM conversations (both inbound and outbound). Your job is to use a proven script to warm up leads, identify who’s a good fit, and help them book a free Discovery Call with Mike or our coaching team.

Reports to: Mike Chou, Founder of MC Climbing

Works with: Mike, General VA, and Rehab Coaches

Hours: Part time - 10 hours/week to start, needs to be every weekday. EST heavily preferred.

Location: 100% Remote

Compensation: Base: $180/month. Commission: $4 per call booked with client showing. Quarterly bonus based on performance.

Pay method: Wise

Core Responsibilities:
1. Lead Engagement in DMs
- Engage with new and old leads via Instagram DMs
- Respond to messages within a reasonable timeframe using a proven script
- Conduct outbound DM outreach to ideal prospects using a proven script
- Build rapport and maintain high-quality human communication (don't be a bot)
- Guide prospects to a booking link and ensure they complete scheduling
- Disqualify inappropriate leads respectfully
- Follow up with no-shows

2. Communication & Systems
- Coordinate with team when bookings are made
- Track metrics: # of DM conversations, booking rate, follow-ups, no shows, etc
- Give feedback to improve DM scripts and lead flow
- Stay organized and consistent in daily DM efforts

Qualifications
Required:
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Friendly, professional, and conversational DM presence
- Reliable internet connection and ability to respond consistently
- Able to follow structured scripts while still sounding human
- Comfortable with outreach and follow-up
- Organized, reliable, and goal-oriented

Nice to Have:
- Medical, fitness, and/or climbing background
- Experience with appointment setting or sales
- Familiarity with Instagram DMs, IG Inbox filters, Google Workspace
- Experience working toward performance metrics
