JOB OVERVIEW

I have a relatively complicated network in an apartment building (it's complicated for me - I'm hoping it won't be complicated for you! LOL).

I currently serve 36 apartment units with an inbound fiber 5 gig (up to 10 gig bursts). It is connected to an AT&T router which goes to a 48 port NetGear switch. From there, we hard wire access points for backhaul purposes. I have a complete network diagram and a physical map of device placement.

Unfortunately, I'm getting rogue DHCP servers messing up the network. I need to locate where the rogue DHCP servers are coming from and filter the packets on the NetGear switch.

I'm, also, getting some unusual network behavior which may be related to the DHCP issue or traffic issues. I will need some tools (Open Source preferred) to monitor traffic. I used to use What's Up and need something similar (of course I will ask AI for a recommendation... just identifying network vulnerabilities as you might have a tool that you are comfortable with already.

Since I have deployed about 10 access points and the vendor Plume has ended their support, I need to upgrade the network to something of higher commercial viability. I am considering AI recommendations in this regard.

I will need help with subnetting (we are running out of IP addresses). Between the management capability of the the NetGear switch, an external network monitoring tool and a robust mesh network management console, I am hoping I can provide a great user experience. I should mention that I have a lot of iOT devices that use IP and/or Zigbee or ZWave hence the need for segmentation. We have as many as 73 WIFI and wired cameras. This is a short term project with long term possibilities.

I am very much into AI and robotics and would love to work with someone with a passion for the field.
