Remote Homeschool Tutor for 2 Boys (Ages 6 and 9) | English, Math, Science

We are a family currently living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and we are looking for a kind, reliable, and engaging remote tutor to work with our two boys via Zoom.

Our children are:

Eli, age 6

Dez, age 9

We are building a homeschool-style learning routine and are looking for one tutor who can help guide both boys for about 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Main subjects:

English / Reading / Writing

Math

Science

Important notes:

Dez already has experience with Zoom and online classes

Eli is younger, so the ideal tutor should be patient, warm, and able to keep him engaged

We do have workbooks and learning materials available, but we are also open to hearing your suggested learning plan and approach

We are not looking for someone to simply “watch” the kids do workbook pages. We want a tutor who can teach, explain, guide, encourage, and help them actually understand the material

The tutor should be comfortable rotating attention between two children of different ages during the same session

What we are looking for:

Strong spoken and written English

Experience teaching or tutoring young children

Ability to teach both early elementary and elementary level students

Comfortable teaching English, Math, and basic Science

Organized, dependable, and patient

Comfortable using Zoom daily

Able to create a positive and encouraging learning environment

Preferred:

Teaching background

Elementary education experience

Experience teaching phonics, reading comprehension, and foundational math

Experience with homeschool students is a plus

Schedule:

Around 2 hours per day

Monday through Friday

Must be available during morning hours in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico time
