About the Role
Perfect Square Design is seeking an Accounts Manager to support the director of the business. This role will work closely with the Director to ensure accounts are up to date and in compliance with Australian Taxation Law. The position will focus on the Xero account managing sales, wages, expenses and debtors. This role will be transferred from an existing bookkeeping office to be managed internally within the studio.
Key Responsibilities
• Invoicing
• Reconciliation
• Call debtors to organise payment. Must present with excellent written and spoken English
• Review and manage sub-contractor invoices
• Review and manage supplier invoices if there are any
• Manage PAYG, GST & super every month and lodge
• Lodge BAS monthly
• Reconcile with bank accounts daily.
• Process payroll.
• weekly catchup with the director
• able to communicate, work with and follow instructions from our accountants.
Reporting & Documentation
• Assist in preparing presentation decks and business reports on Balance of Accounts and P/L records
• Support the development of internal documentation
• Maintain operational templates and files
Skills & Experience
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Experience working with Xero (Requirement to present proof of proficiency)
• Excellent written and spoken English communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
• Experience preparing presentations and documents
• Mandatory experience with Australian Tax Law (must have worked in Australian businesses with similar job expectations and prepared to provide evidence)
