Web Application Developer

About the Role

We're building a modern HR and payroll management platform for small-to-mid-size businesses. We need an experienced engineer to help expand features, improve reliability, and scale the application.

Tech Stack:

Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui (Radix primitives)
Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Edge Functions, Storage, Row-Level Security)
State/Data: TanStack React Query, React Hook Form + Zod validation

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain features across the full stack (React frontend + Supabase backend)
Write and optimize PostgreSQL migrations, RLS policies, and database functions
Develop Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript) for server-side logic (email notifications, user management, API integrations)
Implement secure authentication flows (MFA, email verification, role-based access)
Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Homebase for employee syncing)
Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
Write clean, maintainable code with proper TypeScript typing

Required Skills:

3+ years with React and TypeScript
Strong experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL (RLS, triggers, migrations)
Proficiency with Tailwind CSS and component libraries (shadcn/ui preferred)
Understanding of authentication & authorization patterns (RBAC, MFA, JWT)
Experience with form-heavy applications (validation, multi-step workflows)
Familiarity with serverless/edge functions (Deno or Node.js)

Nice to Have:

Experience with HR, payroll, or compliance software
Knowledge of SMS/telecom compliance (TCR, 10DLC)
Experience with PDF generation/viewing in-browser
Familiarity with Lovable or similar AI-assisted dev platforms
Understanding of CCPA/privacy regulations
