JOB OVERVIEW

We are Wave Marketing, a performance-driven agency helping service-based businesses dominate their local markets through organic social content, paid ads, and high-converting funnels. We produce content for multiple clients across various industries and are rapidly scaling our video output across platforms.

We are looking for a skilled, versatile Video Editor who can handle short form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) , client testimonial videos, and sometimes promotional long-form content. This is not a basic editing role. We need someone who understands pacing, storytelling, and direct response marketing principles.

This role starts part time with the intention to transition into full time as we continue to scale.

COMPENSATION

$22 USD per completed video. You can expect 10-15 edits per week to start, with consistent volume as we grow. High performers will be given priority on projects and the opportunity to move to full time.

WHAT YOU WILL BE EDITING
Short Form (30-60 second videos):
- Talking head content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Lifestyle, product, behind the scenes, and creative branded content
- Trend-driven content with fast pacing, sound effects, music, captions, and B roll

REQUIRED SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY
- Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (primary editing software, must be highly proficient)
- After Effects (for motion graphics, lower thirds, transitions) is a strong plus
- CapCut Pro or Instagram Edits is a plus for quick short form edits

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience (portfolio/reel required)
- Proven experience editing BOTH short form social content
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow for both short and long formats
- Experience with direct response or marketing video content is highly preferred
- Ability to add compelling captions, text overlays, sound design, music, and B roll
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to match tone/messaging across multiple businesses

- Proactive and detail-oriented, not just following instructions but bringing creative ideas to the table
- Fast turnaround: short form edits delivered within 24 hours, longer form within 48 hours
- Consistent, reliable, and organized. We need someone we can count on every single day
- Positive attitude, coachable, and open to feedback
- Willing to learn about our local industries and markets (Salt Lake City, Utah and surrounding areas)
- Expertise in color grading
