JOB OVERVIEW

C++ Audio Developer

We're looking for a highly skilled C++ audio developer with strong JUCE experience to join Vox Samples as a full-time member of our engineering team. You'll be working closely with the Founder & CEO to build and continuously develop premium audio plugins used by music producers worldwide. You'll be a long-term part of a fast-growing audio software brand, contributing to our plugin suite from day one.

Vox Samples is an Australia-based audio software company focused on helping music producers work faster with intuitive, professional tools. With 150,000+ active users and 1,300+ 5-star reviews, we're growing quickly and building a world-class product lineup — and we need a talented developer to grow with us.

What you'll do:
1. Develop and maintain audio plugins using C++ and the JUCE framework
2. Implement and refine DSP algorithms and signal processing chains to a professional standard
3. Build responsive, pixel-accurate plugin UIs that match our visual designs
4. Ensure stable, low-latency performance across all major DAWs (Ableton, Logic, FL Studio, etc.)
5. Manage VST3, AU, and AAX builds across macOS and Windows
6. Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code
7. Collaborate directly with the Founder/CEO on new features and future releases
8. Contribute to a growing product roadmap with multiple plugins planned

What we're looking for:
1. Strong hands-on experience with JUCE and C++ audio development
2. Solid understanding of DSP fundamentals and real-time audio processing
3. Ability to implement UIs faithfully from supplied design assets
4. Experience shipping commercial plugins or audio software products
5. Cross-platform development experience (macOS and Windows)
6. Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving team
7. Strong communication and the ability to work independently

Bonus points if you have:
1. A portfolio of published commercial plugins
2. Experience with preset management, DAW automation, and parameter handling
3. A track record of optimising DSP for CPU efficiency and low-latency performance
4. Understanding of what makes audio tools genuinely intuitive for music producers

What we offer:
1. Full-time, ongoing role with a growing audio software brand
2. Work directly with the Founder & CEO — your work will matter and be seen
3. Contribute to a real commercial product with an established, loyal user base
4. A long-term position with increasing responsibility as the product line grows
5. Be part of a brand already trusted by 150,000+ producers worldwide
