JOB OVERVIEW

About us

I run an online coaching/education business helping people move better, get out of pain, and train smarter. We create long?form educational content on biomechanics, lifting, and injury?proofing, then cut it into shorts.
This is a long?term, full?time role for a PH?based editor who wants to grow with the channel, not a one?off project.
Role overview

You will own editing of our long?form YouTube videos (talking head + screen share + training footage) and cutting them into shorts/reels. You must be able to follow detailed notes and SOPs and turn around a strong V1 without guessing.

What you’ll do

- Edit 4–8 long?form YouTube videos per month
- Add B?roll, lower thirds, callouts, zooms, sound effects, and pattern?interrupts to keep retention high
- Create 5–10 shorts/reels per long video using hooks and templates
- Follow written edit notes and checklists for each video
- Organize project files and exports in our folder system
- Communicate daily with our small remote team via chat, Dropbox, and Loom

Must?haves

- Strong written and spoken English (you will read and implement detailed notes/SOPs)
- Proven experience editing educational / talking?head YouTube content (not just gaming or travel montages)
- Comfortable taking direct feedback and iterating quickly
- Can follow a checklist exactly and ask questions when something is unclear
- Stable internet and a machine that can handle 4K footage
- Able to work mostly within PH daytime / early evening with overlap to US Pacific time

Nice?to?haves

- Interest in fitness, lifting, biomechanics, or rehab
- Experience creating short?form content from long?form
- Basic thumbnail sense is a plus (not required)

Salary & terms

- Full?time, PH?based role
- Expected range: $ ---------- USD / month, depending on experience and portfolio
- 13th?month pay after 12 months
- Long?term position if we’re a good fit on both sides

1. The video link
2. 1–2 sentences: what exactly you did on that edit
3. Loom critique (2–3 minutes)

-Record a short Loom (in English) where you:

1. Pick any educational YouTube video you did not edit
2. Explain what is good about the edit and what you would improve (pacing, cuts, B?roll, titles, etc.)
3. Keep it 100 (answer honestly):
4. “What kind of client or project are you not a good fit for, and why?”
5. “Describe the last time you missed a deadline or made a big mistake on a project. What happened and what did you change afterward?”

Logistics

Include:
- Your desired monthly salary in USD (within the range)
- Your typical working hours (PH time)
- Your internet speed (screenshot or typed)

At the very end of your message, add this line so I know you read everything: I follow checklists and ask questions instead of guessing.
