JOB OVERVIEW

YSS is a Sydney-based creative agency operating three divisions: YSS Agency (creative services for beauty brands), Can We Go Live (an industry talk show), and Hair Clubs — a B2B SaaS loyalty platform for hair salons that’s growing fast. We are a small team that moves quickly and holds a high bar for everything we put out.

The Role
We’re looking for someone who can own the client experience from signup to ongoing retention. You’ll be the person who makes sure every client feels looked after, every deliverable lands properly, and nothing falls through the cracks. This role is equal parts client comms, light creative production, and proactive problem-solving.

What You’ll Do
Client Success & Comms
• Own ongoing communication with Hair Clubs salon clients — check-ins, follow-ups, and first response on enquiries
• Monitor client health and flag at-risk accounts before they churn
• Manage onboarding comms for new salons signing up through paid ads
• Follow up with demo bookings who haven’t shown up (SMS + email sequences)
• QA client-facing deliverables before they go out — making sure creative matches the client’s brand

Creative Support
• Design simple client assets in Canva — EDMs, social tiles, QR codes, launch carousels
• Adapt templates to match each salon’s brand (you’ll be working from established references, not designing from scratch)
• Support social media posting for Hair Clubs and client accounts as needed
• Ideating with the creative team on social media posts
• Scheduling social media
• Weekly EDM creation for Hair Clubs with news
• Broadcast channel management

What We’re Looking For
• Fast, warm, and proactive communicator — you reply to clients within 20 minutes, not 3 hours
• Comfortable in Canva with a good eye for brand consistency
• Detail-oriented — you check the brief, check the client’s Instagram, check the website before you start
• Experience in client-facing roles — customer success, account management, community management, or similar
• Comfortable working across Slack, Notion, and email
• Available during Australian business hours (AEST)
• Bonus: experience with Shopify, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, or Meta Business Suite

What You Won’t Be Doing
• Complex graphic design — we have an Art Director for that
• Running paid ads — that’s handled by the founder
• Technical development or coding
• Strategy — you’ll execute on established processes and flag when something’s not working
