Video Editor (Cantonese Content)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content team on a freelance/project basis. You will be editing Cantonese-language videos for our brand/channel. Don't worry if you don't speak Cantonese — we will provide full English translation scripts so you can follow the content and edit accurately.
Responsibilities

Edit raw footage into polished, publish-ready videos
Follow provided English translation scripts to understand content flow and pacing
Add subtitles, captions, lower thirds, and on-screen text as directed
Sync audio and video, adjust pacing and cuts for natural flow
Apply colour grading, transitions, and visual effects as needed
Incorporate brand assets (logos, intros/outros, music) per our style guide
Deliver files in specified formats and resolutions (e.g. 1080p, 4K, 9:16, 16:9)
Revise edits based on feedback in a timely manner

Requirements
Proven experience in video editing (portfolio or sample work required)
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut
Ability to work from translation scripts — no Cantonese language skills needed
Strong sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling
Reliable internet connection and ability to handle large video files
Good communication skills in English
Able to meet deadlines consistently

Nice to Have
Experience editing social media content (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok)
Motion graphics or After Effects skills
Experience working with multilingual or dubbed content
