ackend Developer -- Lead Automation System (Ongoing, Part-Time)

About Us

We're a small UK agency that builds lead automation software for tradespeople. Our product monitors job platforms, scores incoming leads with AI, auto-claims the best ones, and pushes them into a CRM with automated follow-up. It's live, it has paying clients, and it needs someone reliable looking after it.

What You'd Be Working On

- Maintaining and extending a backend system hosted on Railway
- Monitoring system health -- uptime, auth token refresh, webhook reliability
- Building new features: multi-tenant client onboarding, reporting dashboards, API integrations
- Working with external APIs: CRM systems, AI scoring APIs, Telegram Bot API
- Writing and maintaining web scrapers and data enrichment pipelines
- Debugging production issues and deploying fixes
- Occasional data pipeline work (scraping, enrichment, CSV export)

What We're Looking For

- Solid backend development experience in any language
- Comfortable reading and working in an existing codebase (not starting from scratch)
- Experience with REST APIs, OAuth flows, and webhook-based architectures
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, communicates proactively when something breaks or is unclear
- Available during UK business hours for overlap (doesn't need to be your full day)

Nice To Have

- Experience with CRM platforms (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, etc.)
- Familiarity with PaaS hosting (Railway, Render, Heroku, etc.)
- Has worked with AI/LLM APIs
- Web scraping experience
