Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Virtual On-Call Support Specialist to provide remote administrative and coordination support during after-hours, evenings, and weekends.
This role supports intake operations, scheduling follow-up, patient call management, customer service, care coordination assistance, QA support, and EMR documentation tasks.
The ideal candidate has prior healthcare experience, strong computer proficiency, excellent English communication skills (oral and written), and the ability to remain calm and professional during urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities
Intake & Administrative Support
• Assist with intake processing and referral coordination
• Upload and track physician orders in EMR
• Upload and monitor endorsement reports
• Ensure timely documentation processing and electronic filing
• Maintain organized and accurate digital records
Scheduling & Care Coordination
• Schedule and confirm follow-up visits
• Support communication between field clinicians and office staff
• Assist with care coordination activities
• Escalate urgent or clinical matters to appropriate leadership
Patient & Customer Service Support
• Answer and triage incoming patient and caregiver calls
• Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate customer service
• Accurately document all calls in EMR
• Route concerns appropriately and promptly
Quality Assurance (QA) Support
• Assist with documentation tracking and follow-up
• Support compliance monitoring processes
• Help ensure required documents are uploaded and complete
• Maintain organized electronic QA files
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
• Prior healthcare experience (home health, hospice, clinic, hospital, or medical office)
• Strong English language proficiency (oral and written)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Ability to work after-hours, evenings, and weekends (U.S. Pacific Time)
• Reliable high-speed internet and professional work environment
Preferred
• Home Health experience preferred
• EMR experience preferred
• Medical background (RN, LVN, Medical Assistant, or allied health) preferred
• Clinical licensure preferred
