Backend & AI Integrations Developer START ASAP

We are looking for a forward-thinking Mid-to-Senior Level Backend Developer with a passion for AI implementation and automation to join our development team.
Luxo Living is an industry-leading Australian e-commerce company. We are currently evolving our infrastructure to be AI-first—from AR image generation to automated ERP workflows. This is a high-impact role where you will not just maintain code, but build the intelligent systems that drive our future growth. Your Work Will Include:
•AI Implementation: Integrating and fine-tuning AI models (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI) to enhance site features and internal operations.
•Automation & Tooling: Developing custom "Model Context Protocol" (MCP) servers and automated agents to bridge our data sources with AI tools.
•System Architecture: Building and maintaining scalable backend services using Laravel, Supabase, and AWS.
•Workflow Optimization: Modernizing our ERP and e-commerce logic through intelligent automation and efficient API design.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with the team to convert business needs into technical specifications using AI-assisted development tools.

Things You’ll Need to Bring Along:
•5+ years of experience in backend development and software design.
•Proven Experience with AI: Practical history of integrating LLMs (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI) and building AI-driven features or chatbots.
•Modern Tech Stack: Extensive knowledge of Laravel, Git, and Docker.
•Cloud & Database Expertise: Experience with AWS management and Supabase/PostgreSQL.
•Familiarity (Foundational): Strong understanding of PHP coding and MySQL (while our focus is shifting, these remain core to our legacy and ERP integrations).
•Systems Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite) and e-commerce platforms.

Position Details:
•Type: Full-time (44 hours per week).
•Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm AEST (Some weekends may be required).
•Requirement: Reliable high-speed internet, Skype, and use of Time Doctor/tracker.
•Remuneration: Competitive monthly salary based on experience and AI expertise.
