JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing UK-based accounting firm supporting small businesses with bookkeeping, tax returns, company accounts, and business advice. We are building a modern, efficient firm and are looking for a reliable remote assistant to help manage administrative and operational tasks.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Your role will be to support the day-to-day operations of the firm and help ensure work flows smoothly.

Tasks will include:

• Managing and organising emails
• Raising invoices and sending payment reminders
• Following up with clients for missing documents
• Preparing client onboarding documents
• Filing confirmation statements (CS01) with Companies House
• Submitting VAT registrations and PAYE registrations
• Updating client records
• Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
• Preparing draft client emails
• Assisting with simple administrative accounting tasks

All processes will be documented and training will be provided.

Requirements

• Excellent written English
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organised and able to follow processes
• Comfortable using online tools and learning new systems
• Reliable internet connection
• Previous experience in administration or accounting support is a bonus

Software We Use

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:

• Xero
• Excel / Google Sheets
• Companies House
• HMRC portal
Email / CRM systems

Full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Initially:

10–20 hours per week

Potential to increase hours as the firm grows.
