Podcast Content Editor & Social Media Assistant (Part Time / Remote)

Hello!

I run a growing podcast and live events platform called How You Find Your Voice (HYFYV).

The project explores creativity, identity, books, culture and women’s voices through thoughtful podcast conversations and live salon-style events.

I’m looking for a reliable, creative part-time assistant to help repurpose podcast content and support social media growth.

This is a part-time remote role (around 5–8 hours per week) and would suit someone who enjoys podcasts, storytelling and social media content creation.

The goal of the role is to help grow the podcast audience and social media following by turning long conversations into engaging short-form content.

Main Responsibilities
1. Podcast Content Repurposing

From each podcast episode you will:

• identify strong ---------- nts from the conversation
• create 5–10 short clips for social media
• add subtitles to clips
• format clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts

2. Social Media Posting

You will:

• upload clips across platforms
• write clear captions based on the conversation
• schedule posts
• help maintain consistent posting across platforms

Platforms include:

• Instagram
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts
• Pinterest (occasionally)

3. YouTube Podcast Uploads

You will help manage the YouTube channel by:

• uploading full podcast episodes
• writing simple titles and descriptions
• uploading thumbnails (created in Canva)

4. Website Support (Squarespace)

You will also help keep the website updated by:

• uploading podcast episodes to Squarespace
• formatting episode pages
• uploading transcripts
• adding event listings for live talks and salons
• occasionally updating basic website content

No coding required — just comfort using Squarespace.

Design & Templates

You will mainly be working with existing brand templates in Canva for social posts, thumbnails and graphics.

Your role will be to:

• use existing templates to create posts and graphics
• adapt templates for different platforms
• occasionally create simple new designs where needed

Maintaining a consistent visual style is important.

Tools

Experience with the following tools is strongly preferred:

• CapCut (for editing short video clips)
• Canva (for thumbnails and social graphics)
• Social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
• Squarespace (helpful but not essential)

Hours

Approx 5–8 hours per week initially Flexible schedule.

Salary

$5–$7 per hour depending on experience
