About Us:
VEAUTY is a fast-growing premium skincare technology brand selling direct-to-consumer through our Shopify store. Our hero product, the VEAUTY Dot, is the world's only true home fractional RF device — used by 56,000+ customers and trusted by 150+ professional clinics worldwide. We're scaling aggressively through paid advertising on Meta, TikTok, Google/YouTube and need a dedicated video editor who lives and breathes performance creative.
The Role:
We're looking for a full-time, dedicated video editor who doesn't just edit — they understand WHY an ad converts. You'll be responsible for producing high-volume, high-converting video ad content for our direct-to-consumer skincare brand across Meta
This is not a "make it look pretty" role. This is a performance marketing role where every frame, every cut, and every text overlay exists to stop the scroll, build belief, and drive purchases. You'll work closely with our marketing manager and UGC manager to turn raw footage, scripts, and creative briefs into ads that sell.
What You'll Do:
You'll produce 5 new video ad concepts per week, each with 4 variations (different hooks, CTAs, pacing, or formats) — totaling 20 deliverables per week. You'll edit UGC footage, product demos, testimonials, and screen recordings into direct-response video ads optimized for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. You'll create scroll-stopping hooks in the first 1–3 seconds of every ad using proven direct-response patterns. You'll add motion graphics, text overlays, captions, transitions, and visual proof elements (before/afters, data callouts, review screenshots). You'll iterate on winning ads week over week — analyzing performance data (CTR, hook rate, hold rate, CPA, ROAS) and producing improved versions based on what the data tells you. You'll adapt content for different platforms and placements (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and stay current with trending formats, styles, and hooks across TikTok and Instagram.
What We Need From You:
You must have 2+ years of experience editing direct-response / performance video ads for ecommerce or DTC brands, specifically for Meta, TikTok, and/or Google. You need strong proficiency in professional editing software — Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. Experience with CapCut for TikTok-native edits is a plus.
You must understand the psychology of a converting video ad — hooks, pattern interrupts, social proof stacking, urgency, and CTAs. You should know what a hook rate is, what thumbstop ratio means, and how to read basic ad metrics to inform your next round of creative. You need to be fast and efficient — producing polished 30–60 second ads in 2–4 hours, not 8.
Experience using AI tools in your workflow is highly valued — tools like ChatGPT/Claude for scripting, ElevenLabs for voiceovers, Runway or Kling for AI video, Midjourney for visuals, or Descript for captions and text-based editing.
Experience in the skincare, beauty, or health/wellness niche is a strong advantage but not required if your DTC ad portfolio is strong.
What Success Looks Like:
In your first month, you'll have established a rhythm of 5 concepts x 4 variations per week. By month two, you'll be iterating on winners — improving hook rates and hold rates based on data. By month three, you'll be proactively pitching new concepts based on trends, competitor analysis, and performance insights. Our best video editors don't wait to be told what to make — they study the data, watch what's working in the market, and come with ideas.
The Terms:
This is a full-time, exclusive role at $1,000 USD/month. You will not be permitted to work for any other brands or clients while employed with us — we need your full focus and commitment. This is a long-term position with room for growth, increased responsibility, and additional compensation as the brand scales.
Working hours: 8 hours/day, Monday–Friday (flexible on timezone, but consistent availability is required).
You must have a reliable computer capable of video editing and rendering, and a stable internet connection.
