About the Company
The Client is a privately funded energy investment firm specializing in the acquisition and management of producing and non-producing mineral and royalty interests across key U.S. basins with a specific focus in the Permian Basin.

The Opportunity
We are inviting a proactive Data Analyst to join our lean, elite team. You will own the end-to-end data lifecycle—from managing the corporate SQL database to generating critical PHDWin economic models—ensuring our leadership team has real-time, accurate visibility into every asset we manage.

What You’ll Do
>Database Management: Maintain and administer the corporate SQL database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
>Economic Reporting & Analysis: Regularly utilize PHDWin to generate high-integrity cashflow reports and onelines that serve as the foundation for the engineering team’s reserves analysis.
>Engineering Support: Work side-by-side with Reservoir Engineers to input, validate, and manage production forecasts, reserves, and economic evaluations.
>Insights & Visualization: Build and manage data models/relationships into dynamic dashboards and reports using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Spotfire, or other similar tools to support cross-functional internal stakeholders decision-making.
Quality Control: Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot data discrepancies across systems.
>Process Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and develop scripts to automate workflows and improve data accessibility and integrity.
>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between Engineering, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure seamless information flow across the company.

What You Bring (Required)
>Advanced SQL Mastery: Expert understanding of relational database logic and writing complex query architecture.
>Database Infrastructure & Growth: Proven experience managing an existing Microsoft Azure SQL environment, with the ability to maintain, improve, and grow it through custom automations and workflows.
Data Visualization: Proven experience creating executive-level reports in Power BI, Spotfire, or similar tools.
>Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot complex data discrepancies.
>Self-Sourcing Solutions: Proven ability to troubleshoot and build technical workflows independently without needing a manual or technical supervisor.
>Communication: Exceptional English proficiency, specifically the ability to translate complex technical data findings into clear business insights for executive leadership.
>Operational Alignment: Initial 100% overlap with US Central Time during your integration phase. As you establish your 'Founding Analyst' rhythm, we prioritize results over 'clock-time,' allowing flexibility and reduced graveyard hours.
>Proactive Team Integration: Team player attitude to work within a small team that interacts across the entire company with a willingness to take on special projects as they arise.

Preferred Skills
>Prior experience with reserves software such as PHDWin and reservoir engineering softwares such as Combocurve.
>Familiarity with SEC Reserve Reporting standards.
>Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for automation.
>Familiarity with data governance practices and systems integration.
>Previous experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
