Position Overview
The Post-Production Editor is responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, high-quality content that reflects the storytelling and production standards of Juming Delmas Studios. This role focuses on editing podcast episodes, promotional videos, and digital content in a way that enhances the narrative, maintains audience engagement, and aligns with the brand vision of each client.
At JDS, we treat podcasts like television productions. Editors are expected to move beyond simple cuts and transitions and actively shape the story through thoughtful pacing, visuals, graphics, and sound design.

Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Story Development
Edit full podcast episodes, interviews, and video content.
Cut short-form clips for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
Structure edits to enhance storytelling, pacing, and viewer engagement.
Select and integrate appropriate B-roll, graphics, and visual elements.
Audio & Visual Quality
Clean and balance audio to ensure clarity and professional sound quality.
Color correct and grade footage to maintain visual consistency.
Ensure all videos meet JDS production quality standards.
Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements
Incorporate motion graphics, titles, and captions when appropriate.

Use overlays, callouts, and visual elements to reinforce key ---------- nts in the content.
Create dynamic intros and outros based on JDS templates.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Production Team and Creative Director to meet project goals.
Participate in review meetings and incorporate feedback into revisions.
Maintain clear communication about project timelines and deliverables.
Organization & Workflow
Maintain organized project files and folders.

Follow JDS editing templates and naming conventions.
Ensure projects are completed by the assigned deadlines.
Deliverables
The Post-Production Editor may be responsible for producing:
Full podcast episodes
Short-form social media clips
Promotional video content
Client marketing videos
Highlight reels
Branded intros and outros
Required Skills

Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement.
Basic motion graphics and text animation knowledge.
Experience with audio cleanup and sound balancing.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience editing podcasts or interview-based content.
Familiarity with YouTube and social media content formats.
Understanding of digital marketing and audience engagement strategies.
Work Expectations
All editing work must meet the quality standards of Juming Delmas Studios.
Editors are expected to follow feedback and continuously improve production quality.
Work must be completed within established project timelines.
Clear communication with the production team is required.
