Osborne Pro Builders builds custom cabins in the Red River Gorge region of Kentucky. Our company operates with a commitment to trust, transparency, and excellence, and we believe clean, accurate financial records are a key part of running a trustworthy construction business.
We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time bookkeeper/accountant to help maintain organized financial records as our company grows.
This is a small but important role that will support leadership with accurate bookkeeping, clean records, and clear financial tracking.
Position Overview
Role: Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant
Hours: 4–6 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible, but must be able to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) when needed
Location: Remote
There is room for growth in hours and responsibility as the business expands.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Organization
Enter receipts and transactions into accounting software
Categorize expenses correctly
Maintain organized digital records of financial documents
Ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date
Accounts Payable (AP)
Track vendor invoices
Enter bills into accounting software
Prepare payments for approval
Maintain vendor records
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Generate invoices when needed
Track outstanding invoices
Monitor incoming payments
Maintain accurate payment records
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
Identify and flag discrepancies
Ensure accounting records match bank records
Job Cost Tracking
Assign expenses to the correct project when applicable
Help leadership maintain visibility into project costs
Financial Reporting
Provide simple monthly reports such as:
Profit & Loss
Expense summaries
Outstanding invoices
Vendor payment summaries
Ideal Candidate
Experience with small business bookkeeping
Strong attention to detail
Organized and reliable
Comfortable working independently
Able to communicate clearly with leadership
Preferred Skills
QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
Experience organizing receipts and expenses
Familiarity with project-based businesses such as construction
Comfortable working in Google Drive or similar document systems
Compensation
Hourly pay based on experience.
This role begins at 4–6 hours per week with the opportunity to expand as the company grows.
