SEO / GEO / Local SEO Specialist

We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist who understands how to improve search rankings, optimize content, and build strong local visibility.

This role includes traditional SEO as well as modern GEO / AEO strategies to improve discoverability across search engines and AI-powered search platforms.

This is a project-based position with ongoing work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform keyword research and competitor analysis
• Optimize website pages for SEO
• Implement Local SEO strategies
• Optimize Google Business Profiles
• Build high-quality backlinks
• Improve website authority and ranking
• Monitor rankings and SEO performance
• Implement AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies
• Implement GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies

Required Skills

• Proven experience with SEO
• Strong understanding of Local SEO
• Experience with keyword research tools
• Experience with on-page and off-page SEO
• Understanding of backlink strategies

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Schema markup
• Technical SEO knowledge
• SEO audit experience
• Knowledge of AI search optimization

• Flexible hours with some Eastern Time overlap
