Amazon Product Sourcing Specialist

We are building a growing Amazon private label brand and need an experienced sourcing specialist to join our team. You will work closely with an AI assistant to source products from Chinese suppliers, manage communications, and support our Amazon FBA business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and identify suppliers on ---------- and ---------- (Chinese domestic platform)
- Communicate with suppliers in English (Alibaba) and Mandarin Chinese (1688)
- Request product quotes, negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times
- Coordinate sample orders and track delivery
- Evaluate supplier reliability, quality, and pricing against competitors
- Update supplier communication logs and status reports in our system
- Research product markets, competitors, and pricing on Amazon
- Identify sourcing opportunities and support new product launches

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience sourcing products from Chinese suppliers (Alibaba, 1688)
- Fluent English; Mandarin Chinese is a STRONG advantage (ideally native/near-native)
- Solid understanding of the Amazon FBA / private label business model
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Comfortable with digital tools: Slack, email, WeChat, Google Sheets
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience assessing product quality and supplier credibility
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers (pricing, MOQs, payment terms, lead times)

NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience placing and managing sample orders from China
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and shipping terms (FOB, EXW, etc.)
- Experience using Global Sources or Made-in-China
