JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and calculations for complex architectural and MEP projects. This is a high-impact role focused on ensuring compliance with Florida Building Codes, energy performance standards, and accurate engineering documentation across multiple disciplines. This is a remote position, supporting US-based projects in the EST timezone.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical engineering calculations, including load analysis, circuit design, lighting, and energy performance compliance.

Review and validate MEP calculations from internal teams and external consultants.

Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and plumbing teams to coordinate multi-discipline designs.

Ensure Life Safety, Means of Egress, and ADA compliance for electrical systems.

Contribute to permit-ready Construction Document (CD) sets and ensure adherence to Miami / Florida Building Codes.

Review technical specifications, quantity takeoffs, and CSI documentation for accuracy.

Estimate project hours and prepare detailed scopes of work.

Lead and mentor remote production teams (minimum 2 years of people management experience required).

Support energy modeling, performance compliance, and sustainability documentation.

Required Experience:

5+ years in Electrical Engineering within AEC, construction, or MEP environments.

Proven experience producing and reviewing permit-ready CD sets.

Strong knowledge of Miami / Florida Building Codes.

Experience coordinating across architectural and MEP disciplines.

2+ years managing engineering or production teams.

US-based project experience preferred.

Proficiency in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and construction documentation workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering.

Experience supporting US permitting workflows.

Experience with remote engineering production environments.
