Part-Time Social Media Content Specialist (Healthcare Education)

Position Type: Part-Time
Location: Remote
Schedule: 10–20 hours per week (flexible)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Part-Time Social Media Content Specialist to support our healthcare education programs.

This individual will develop engaging, informative content that supports healthcare professionals, promotes our courses, and strengthens our online presence.

The ideal candidate understands how to communicate clearly with a professional healthcare audience while keeping content approachable, informative, and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)

Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar

Create educational graphics, captions, and short-form content to promote courses and programs

Promote online courses, certifications, and enrollment deadlines through strategic campaigns

Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages professionally

Conduct basic keyword research and implement SEO best practices

Track analytics and provide simple monthly performance reports

Ensure messaging aligns with regulatory standards and professional tone

Stay current on healthcare industry news, credentialing updates, and education trends

Expected Deliverables

Typical monthly work may include:

15-20 social media posts per month

Monthly content calendar

Basic engagement monitoring and analytics summary

Qualifications

Experience managing social media accounts for a business or professional organization

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Ability to simplify complex healthcare topics for a broad audience

Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies

Familiarity with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.)

Experience with Canva or similar tools for social media graphics

Self-starter with strong organizational skills

Experience in healthcare, healthcare education, or allied health preferred

Tools & Skills

Experience with some of the following tools is preferred:

Canva

Meta Business Suite

SEO tools (Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, SEMrush, etc.)
