Financial Accountant

I’m hiring a Financial Accountant to support a multi-property real estate portfolio. This role is focused on producing accurate monthly financials, maintaining clean general ledger activity, and helping ensure the integrity of reporting across assigned properties.
This is not a “silent task executor” seat. I’m looking for someone who communicates well, collaborates naturally, and takes real ownership of their work.

What you’ll own:

Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties
Review GL activity and post journal entries (accruals, reclasses, corrections)
Complete account reconciliations and balance sheet tie-outs
Analyze revenue/expense activity and investigate discrepancies
Collaborate with regional partners on preliminary financials
Participate in a multi-level review process before financials are finalized
Maintain documentation and support audit readiness
Work in a property management ERP (Yardi experience is a plus; training can be provided)

How the work is supported:

You’ll work in a structured review environment (typically 2–3 levels of review)
The expectation is that you’ll grow into independent ownership of financials—with clear oversight and support as you ramp

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
1–3+ years accounting experience (property accounting preferred)
ERP experience required (Yardi preferred, not mandatory)
Strong Excel skills
Solid GAAP understanding
CPA or CPA-track is welcome (not required)
