Winedrops is a direct to consumer wine club based in the UK. We are fast growing and need a Commercial Supply Chain Manger to help us scale.
The Mission: Manage a high-complexity global supply chain (1,000+ SKUs / 100+ Suppliers across Europe, UK and US) and drive the commercial success of daily wine sales through data-led stock planning.
Key Responsibilities
Massive Scale Coordination: Manage the end-to-end supply chain for 1,000+ SKUs across 100+ global suppliers.
Lead Time Mastery: Navigate varying lead times (1–12 weeks), balancing long-distance shipping schedules with short-term demand spikes. Maintaining a 6 week stockholding at all time.
Commercial Deal Planning: Work with rest of the buying team to help select and stock wines for daily deals, offers and main wine sales.
Supplier Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for a diverse supplier base, ensuring high fulfillment rates through proactive communication.
Multi-Geo Oversight: Coordinate stock movements across different geographic territories, managing the logistical nuances of each region.
Technical Optimization: Build and maintain automated tracking systems and forecasting models. You will be expected to leverage Excel/Sheets at an expert level to audit and improve inventory health (knowledge of SQL is a big bonus)
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: At least 3-5 years in a high-intensity Supply Chain role. Experience in wine is a major plus.
Organizational Powerhouse: You have a proven track record of managing massive datasets without losing accuracy.
Technical Stack:
Excel/Google Sheets: Expert (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Array Formulas, Power Query).
AI Tools: Proficiency in using LLMs or AI-forecasting tools to speed up workflows.
SQL (Bonus): Ability to query databases directly to pull supply chain metrics.
Mindset: You are relationship-driven but data-led. You can negotiate with a small family vineyard in Italy as effectively as you can analyse a spreadsheet of shipping costs.
Level: This is a high-level individual contributor role. You don't need to have managed people, but you must be able to manage a global network of partners.
