Power BI Tutor / Mentor (1-on-1 Dashboard Development Training)

Part-Time | Remote | Contract
Schedule: 3 hours per week (1-on-1 sessions)

We are looking for an experienced Power BI expert who can provide 1-on-1 tutorial sessions focused on teaching how to build Power BI dashboards from scratch.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Power BI, data visualization, and dashboard development, and be comfortable mentoring learners step-by-step in a personalized learning environment.

This role focuses on guided learning and practical application, helping the learner transform raw data into meaningful dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct 1-on-1 Power BI tutorial sessions (3 hours per week)

Teach how to build dashboards from scratch

Guide the learner through:

Data import and transformation

Power Query basics

Data modeling

DAX fundamentals

Report and dashboard design

Provide hands-on exercises and real-world examples

Assist in troubleshooting Power BI issues

Share best practices for creating professional and executive-ready dashboards

Requirements

Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI

Proven experience building interactive dashboards and reports

Solid understanding of:

Power Query

DAX

Data modeling

Data visualization best practices

Ability to explain technical concepts clearly in a 1-on-1 learning setting

Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is a plus

Preferred Background

Experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Data Analytics

Experience working with Excel, SQL, or operational datasets

Experience building dashboards for business operations or performance monitoring
