JOB OVERVIEW

Work Setup: Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Cloud Hosting Technician to manage and support our cloud server environments, website hosting platforms, domain systems, and business productivity suites. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in cloud hosting, server management, and remote IT support.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Hosting Management (Primary Focus)

Manage and maintain cloud servers, cPanel environments, and hosting platforms.
Oversee website hosting operations including optimization, performance monitoring, and uptime assurance.
Configure and manage DNS zones, domain records, SSL certificates, and name servers.
Administer cloud-based email hosting solutions including Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and third-party hosting such as InMotion Hosting.
Perform server updates, security patches, backup configuration, and resource monitoring.


Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide remote technical support via, email, phone, and remote access tools.
Troubleshoot issues related to hosting, DNS, email deliverability, and connectivity.
Address hardware, software, and system-related problems as needed.
Take client calls for technical support, resolve tickets, and document resolutions.


Systems & User Administration

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies across systems (Active Directory, O365, Google Workspace, etc.).
Support virtual communications platforms and remote collaboration tools.
Perform routine system checks and implement IT security best practices.


Internal Coordination & Process Work

Maintain accurate ICT asset and system documentation.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors.
Participate in ICT projects, system improvements, and operational optimizations.


Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in ICT or IT support, with emphasis on cloud hosting/server management.
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
Experience using remote support tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar.
Familiarity with cloud platforms including Office 365, Google Workspace, and hosting dashboards like cPanel.
Solid troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, especially when assisting non-technical clients.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL are not required but are an advantage.
