Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the delivery, set-up, and follow-up of respiratory DME (e.g., oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP devices, nebulizers).
Act as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, suppliers, and insurance providers regarding respiratory equipment orders, authorizations, and adjustments.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain authorizations, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
Manage DME inventory and scheduling to meet patient needs efficiently and accurately.
Provide education and support to patients and caregivers on the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory, payer, and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., billing, clinical support) to resolve issues and communicate updates.
Monitor follow-up care and equipment returns when appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in DME coordination, respiratory services, or related healthcare role.
Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and clinical indications.
Experience with insurance verification, prior authorization, and DME documentation protocols.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Brightree. (Required)
Spanish-speaking preferred.
