Position Summary
The Receptionist / Patient Resource Coordinator serves as the first voice and primary contact for callers seeking information, support, and guidance. This individual will professionally manage incoming calls, provide accurate resource information, route calls appropriately, and ensure each caller is treated with empathy and respect.

A medical background is a plus, particularly experience in oncology, patient navigation, healthcare administration, or medical front office environments.
Key Responsibilities
Call Management & Communication
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally using the approved organizational greeting
Provide information regarding organizational resources, clinical trials listings, and support services
Assist donors with processing credit card donations over the phone and provide mailing information for mailed contributions
Transfer calls accurately to appropriate staff members, including leadership, integrative therapies, and grief support contacts
Provide compassionate, patient-centered communication to individuals affected by cancer
Listen actively and respond with empathy to patients, caregivers, and family members
Guide callers to appropriate support resources and educational materials
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate message logs and call documentation
Keep contact information and resource links readily accessible
