ArtyHood creates vibrant, inclusive spaces where artists, businesses, and communities connect, grow, and thrive.
Through art shows, night markets, block parties, and cultural festivals, we help revitalize neighborhoods, support small businesses, and empower LGBTQ+, BIPOC, immigrant, and underrepresented artists.
We believe art is infrastructure. It drives economic opportunity. It strengthens community identity. It transforms public space into places of belonging.
To expand this impact, we’re looking for a mission-aligned Grant Writer who can help secure the funding that sustains and grows our programs.
The Role:

- Neighborhood revitalization efforts
- Community-based creative programs
This role is ideal for someone who understands that fundraising is not just about securing money — it’s about fueling cultural ecosystems and building long-term community infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private funders
- Write compelling grant proposals, LOIs, and funding applications
- Develop budgets, impact statements, and project narratives
- Maintain a grants calendar to ensure timely submissions and reporting
- Track awarded grants, deliverables, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with leadership to identify funding priorities and measurable outcomes
- Translate community impact into strong, data-informed storytelling
- Support fundraising strategies tied to events, activations, and expansion initiatives
Who You Are:
- Passionate about arts, culture, and community revitalization
- Mission-driven and aligned with equity and representation
- Experienced in grant writing, fundraising, or philanthropic partnerships
- A strong writer who can clearly communicate mission, metrics, and impact
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive and strategic in identifying funding opportunities
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment
Ideal Qualifications:
- Proven experience securing foundation or government grants
- Strong English writing and persuasive storytelling skills
- Familiarity with nonprofits, arts organizations, workforce development, or community programs
- Experience preparing program budgets and measurable impact frameworks
- Ability to manage documentation, deadlines, and reporting cycles independently
Growth Opportunity:
This is a part-time position (10–20 hours per week) at $5/hour, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role after 6 months based on performance and funding growth.
As ArtyHood expands, this role has the potential to grow into a Development Lead or Director-level position.
