The Role
A bit about the role: You would be doing short-form video editing starting at 3 videos a week. My goal is to scale up my content to 1-2 posts per day.

- Short-form video editing (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
- Starting at ~3 videos/week, scaling to 1-2 per day
- Follow established editing style guide (fonts, captions, colors, music, pacing)
- Receive briefs via Notion (hook, outline, script, notes per video)
- Raw footage delivered as multiple clips per video
- Repurpose existing footage independently — reframe the same clips with a new hook or angle without much guidance
- Example: turn a wash day routine into a separate "curly hair hack" video

What We're Looking For:

Must-Haves
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality, original editing (no CapCut templates / plug-and-play)
- Ability to follow a detailed style guide precisely
- Strong sense of pacing, transitions, captions, and music selection
- Can work independently — not just assembling per instruction, but making creative decisions when repurposing content
- Comfortable with: Notion, WeTransfer, Google Drive
- Responsive communication — same-day replies, within ~12 hours
- 5+ hours of daily synchronous time overlap with Los Angeles (Pacific Time)
- Fast turnaround — no week-long back-and-forth on a single video

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience editing in the curly hair, beauty, or hair care niche
- Experience with a range of different creator clients
- Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve proficiency
- Understanding of short-form content strategy (hooks, retention, trends)
