JOB OVERVIEW

JOB POST: Junior Video Editor (Economics & Documentary Series)
Company: FISAL Projects (Melbourne, AU)

Role: Part-Time (Ongoing)
Location: Remote (Philippines)

THE MISSION: FISAL Projects is a Melbourne-based media startup producing high-level commentary and documentary content. We are looking for a Rising Post-Production Talent to help grow our two core series:

FISAL Talks: Complex video essays on Global Economics, Business Strategy, and Geopolitics (Style Ref: Vox, Johnny Harris).

The Occupation Records: Cinematic mini-documentaries about unique career paths.

THE ROLE (Entry-Level / Junior): We are not looking for a "vlog" or "social media" editor. We need a Visual Storyteller. While you may be at the start of your career, you must have a deep interest in how information is visualized. You will be given a script and raw "talking head" footage; your job is to help visualize economic concepts using archival footage, data visualization, and clean motion graphics.

Responsibilities:

1. Narrative Editing: Assembling 15–20 minute video essays with a focus on pacing and flow.
2. Basic Motion Graphics: Creating clean assets to explain the script (e.g., animated charts, maps, and kinetic typography).
3. Editorial Judgment: You must have excellent English comprehension to ensure B-roll accurately matches complex economic terms (e.g., "Interest Rates" vs. "Inflation").
4. Audio Setup: Ensuring clear dialogue and balanced background music.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Software: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro + After Effects OR DaVinci Resolve.
2. English Mastery: Near-native listening and reading skills are essential for following complex scripts.
3. Hardware: A workstation capable of handling 4K playback and rendering.
4. Internet: Stable Fiber connection (Min 50mbps) for file transfers.
