JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview

The Amazon Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring brands never go out of stock, never overstock unnecessarily, and always have clean, proactive forecasting in place.

This role directly protects revenue.

You will work closely with Account Managers, Ads Managers, and brand partners to maintain healthy inventory levels and eliminate reactive fire drills.

Key Responsibilities
???? Shipment Creation & FBA Management
- Create and manage FBA shipments in Seller Central
- Coordinate shipment plans with brand partners
- Monitor inbound shipments and receiving discrepancies
- Ensure accurate SKU mapping and labeling requirements

???? Forecasting & Planning
- Build 30 / 60 / 90 day inventory forecasts
- Factor in seasonality, promotions, and ad scaling
- Identify reorder timing and production lead times
- Flag OOS risks early (minimum 4–6 weeks in advance)

???? Weekly Inventory Reporting
- Send weekly inventory health reports to all assigned brands
- Clearly communicate:
- Days of cover
- OOS risks
- Overstock risks
- Recommended actions
- Highlight SKUs needing immediate decisions
Brand Communication

Communicate directly with brand partners regarding:
- Reorder timelines
- Production delays
- Shipping updates
- Risk mitigation plans
- Maintain proactive, professional communication
- ???? Risk Management
- Monitor sell-through velocity changes
- Flag issues tied to ad scaling or demand spikes
- Coordinate with Ads + AM teams when spend adjustments are needed
- Prevent stockouts that impact revenue and ranking

- Proactive forecasting (not reactive scrambling)
- Strong communication with brands
- Organized Seller Central shipment management

Qualifications
- 2+ years Amazon FBA inventory management experience
- Deep knowledge of Seller Central shipment workflows
- Strong forecasting and analytical skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously

- Experience with forecasting tools

- Understanding of ad velocity impact on inventory
