Final Cut Pro (Mac) Video Editor + Storyteller (Podcasts / Real Estate / Doc-Style) — Fast Internet Required

Overview

We’re hiring a **high-skill video editor who is also a storyteller**. You will turn raw footage into **modern, high-retention edits** for:

* **Podcasts** (full episodes + highlight clips)
* **Real estate videos** (premium, cinematic, clean)
* **Documentary / story-driven videos** (structure, emotion, pacing)

**Must edit using Final Cut Pro on a Mac.** If you don’t use Final Cut Pro, do not apply.

Editing Style We Want (Modern)

* Strong **hook / cold open**
* Tight pacing, retention cuts, punch-ins
* **Text graphics + captions** (clean + modern)
* **Speed ramps** (tasteful)
* B-roll layering, light sound design
* Basic color correction + consistent look

Responsibilities

* Edit **full podcast episodes** (30–90 min raw footage)
* Create **short-form clips** (30–90 sec) for TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts
* Edit **real estate** videos (15 sec–3 min)
* Select the best ---------- nts and improve flow (storytelling)
* Add captions, graphics, music, and b-roll as needed
* Deliver clean exports + organized project files when requested
* Follow brand guidelines and templates

Non-Negotiable Requirements

* **Mac computer + Final Cut Pro**
* Proven portfolio in **podcast editing** and/or **real estate editing** and/or **doc/story edits**
* **Fast, reliable internet** (we transfer large video files)

* Include your **download + upload speeds** in your application
* Excellent communication and reliable daily availability

Internet Requirement (Important)

You must be able to:

* Download/upload large video files quickly
* Work with Google Drive / Dropbox / ---------- (or similar)
* Maintain a stable connection (no frequent disconnects)

Work Schedule

* Full-time availability required
* Must be responsive during agreed working hours
* Weekly deadlines for episodes + clips

Pay

We will hire based on **skill + speed + value** (best rate for strong quality).

How We Hire (Paid Test)

Shortlisted candidates will do a **paid test edit** using the same footage:

* 1 short clip (30–60 sec) with captions + modern pacing
* Optional: a 60–90 sec story teaser
